The moorcroft pottery has mainly remained in the hands of one family since its creation and Moorcroft mark changes have been quite few. Moorcroft Pottery. Moorcroft pottery was founded in 1913, in Burslem, Staffordshire, England, by William Moorcroft. William first worked for James MacIntrye & Company as a designer for his ceramics factory from 1898 to 1913, before starting his own pottery company. They produce earthenware vases using proprietary glazes, many with floral patterns.
